Assignment 3

                                  DUCKLING

A little bird, a duckling was born in to a lovely family that took care of him. His name is Kyle.  Everything went great but when the duckling grew up, everyone saw that he wasn't like others. His behavior was different than other boys in his age. He played only with girls and liked things that usually girls liked and his appearance was different. When growing up, Kyle usually got bullied and verbally abused and one day he couldn't take it anymore so he decided to leave the pond that was his home.

He started flying away and didn't have any place to go or any directions. After he had flown for a moment, he saw a little river and decided to land there. He saw some other animals but tried to hide under the tree because he was so scared that everyone hated him because the way he was. Kyle was miserable and didn't know what was wrong with him. He missed his family and other ducklings on the pond.

Suddenly Kyle winced when something touched his head. He raised his head and saw some swans looking down at him. They asked Kyle who he was and Kyle introduced himself. After a while talking Kyle told about his situation and things that happened to him back in home. Swans took Kyle with them and watched over him.

Couple years went and Kyle lived with the swans happily. One day the queen swan said to Kyle that she wanted to talk with him. She said ''Kyle, I think I've finally figured out whats wrong with you and why you were treated that way at home. When watching you play with other birds I observed that you might be gay.'' Kyle didn't know what being gay meant so queen swan explained it. After a little talk, Kyle understood that everything swan said was true. Swan continued her speech by saying ''it doesn't matter to us who do you like, how do you look or how do you act. We love and accept you as our own family member''

Eventually Kyle found a man by his side and they lived happily in the end. During their lifetime they traveled around telling people about being gay and accepting others the way they are. Kyle found his purpose.

FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS It was a day I will never forget.  The day I felt real happiness. It felt almost like the feeling was going through my veins and blood and warmed up my whole body. I was overwhelmed of what was going to happen and how my life was going to change. It was the day w e moved. It was the day we started packing our cars and boxes all around the house were full of our stuff. I was hanging on our old tree that grew in our yard. I felt wind blowing my hair and saw our dog laying in the sun. The tree was like 100 years old Chinese tree and I was thinking all the things that happened in that house and all the memories.  Suddenly I remembered the ''treasure'' I buried when I was little. I promised myself that when I grow old I will dig that up. But now that we were moving and weren't staying in the house no longer I had to ...

TRANSLATION OF A MAGAZINE ARTICLE Chimp recognizes face like human Skill transmits from same ancestors. Human recognizes faces faster and different way than other creatures. Before everyone thought that this was just our feature but now it has been revealed that chimps finds faces as fast as humans. It worked out when Japanese Masaki Tomonaga and Tomoka Imura educated three female chimp to find cars, bananas and faces among other pictures. Just like humans, chimps recognized faces way worst when the picture was flipped over. Also covering eyes, nose and mouth slowed the performance. Otherwise changing picture black and white didn't really disrupted face recognition. Investigators headache was caused because chimps found faces as fast as bananas. Recognizing fruit fast w...
